Ignite Berry
Ignite is an evening of speedy presentations where speakers are given 5 minutes to give a presentation on any topic they're passionate about.
What's more, the speakers must use 20 slides that auto-advance every 15 seconds, making for a fast and fun event where you're guaranteed to be enlightened - quickly.
Ignite events are held in cities around the world and on Saturday 9th November 2024, Ignite is returning to Berry.
Presenting on the night will be a diverse range of local people, talking about a wide variety of topics:
Barron Hanson: How to change a town
Bec Nikolovski: Lessons from my 6-year-old self
Dave Jordan: Expand your horizons
Elyssa Sykes-Smith: Scult action
Erica Harding: Straight Outta Berry: A Queer Rescue Odyssey
Gareth Rose: Tales of entrepreneurship
Garry McDougall: What makes a novel "novel"?
Justine Roche: An unlikely swamp encounter
Stephen Lead: All The Buildings In New York
Steve Kimmens: Everything you always wanted to know about Berry*
Tom Hadley: My journey from accidental engineer to stage actor
Tonia Gray: What I wish I'd known about local politics
Xavier Rizos: The history of breakfast
* but were afraid to ask
Doors open at 6pm for a 7pm start. Food and drink will be available for purchase at the bar courtesy of our supporters Pickled Ink Kitchen and Social Life Berry. Ignite Berry is held at a licensed venue so is for over-18s only.
